Henley Fours & Eights 2020

The Henley Fours & Eights will be held on Saturday 15th February 20209, in 2 Divisions at 10:30 and 1:30.
Our focus for this event is sweep oar rowing, however sculling opportunities are included for the J14's and for this year we have test events for O4x- and W4x- (These events are unbanded and no handcapping will be applied, they  exist to allow those unable to sweep to enter. Our emphasis for this event remains on sweep oar.)

We look forward to having you racing with us.

We are sorry to announce that Henley Fours and Eights Head this Saturday is CANCELLED.

The Met Office weather warnings relating to Storm Dennis indicate that we cannot ensure safe and fair racing, and conditions will be very challenging for marshalling, and for trailer towing to and from Henley.

We are sorry that another rowing event falls foul of the weather, but hope we have made the decision early enough to minimise the inconvenience for competing clubs.

We look forward to welcoming you to Henley Sculls later in the year.

(Submitting Admins will be contacted regarding refunds. This will not be a drawn out process, I promise, but we do need a few days to assess unavoidable costs)

Documents will appear here in  timely manner:
We hope to publish "live times" via the website during the day (so do bring your smart phone...). I would stress that these are PROVISIONAL and subject to correction and handicapping may not yet have been done.
Final results will, as ever, be posted following the conclusion of racing.

Parking: Wstrongly encourage competitors and spectators to Car ShareThere will be a £5/charge for parking (Towing vehicles, Coaches/Minibuses exempted). The aim of this charge is to encourage car sharing and reduce the numbers of vehicles on site. Excessive numbers of vehicles I'm afraid cause us issues in terms of space, managing ground conditions and subsequent repair costs. We need to noticeably and hopefully significantly reduce the number of cars. (There will be an entrance and separate exit to facilitate drop offs, please follow the normal circulation entering through the gate behind Leander Club.)

Trailers: Please be aware that we only have access to regatta land on the day of our event. Gates open at 7:30 am. Please do NOT arrive before this. This also applies to Leander's Car park which is the property of HRR.
We are grateful for the support of the Stewards of Henley Royal Regatta and ask for your cooperation to help us maintain this.

Gazebos: Please also note that visitors to/competitors at our event are not permitted to erect any gazebos or little tents on HRR land. Neither should any pvt BBQs be lit on site. (We do have a refreshment tent.)

Bicycles: Coaches and cyclists please be considerate of all other towpath users. No cycling in the enclosures and be aware that much of our towpath is fenced and narrow.
